FACTS OF LIFE EXPERIENCES
The author found great joy in collecting facts of life experiences from people of all walks of life from all over the world, just so that someone who is in need at the right time will benefit from it. She is very grateful to all those who contributed.
Here are some Life’s Learning Experiences or Facts
of Life of each individual’s experience, who have willingly and graciously
contributed to this topic.  These are
experiences of people from all walks of life, (University Students, Housewives,
Sales & Manager Professionals, Business owners and Retired Personnel's) and
different age brackets beginning from age 20 to 70. We can learn from these
experiences and improve our way of living and our way of thinking.  Its better to walk the minefield where somebody
has already walked ahead of you.  Take
the supermarket approach, grab what you need in your basket so that you can
make use of it immediately and leave the rest behind that you do not need and/or
cannot afford to take it.  Come back and
grab some more when you can afford to and when the time is right for you.  Enjoy reading and hope it brings you peace
knowing someone else’s experience resonates with yours, contentment that some
individuals thinks like you, wisdom from someone else’s experience, knowledge and
understanding to withstand any challenge before it arises.
                            Facts of Life Experiences
- Eat your food as medicine, if you don’t, you will have to eat your medicine as food.
 - Life is unpredictable.
You will never know when you have to leave this world. Always work toward
meeting your creator and not the destroyer.
 - Give as much as you
     would want to receive.
 - Love yourself first.
Whatever size and shape you may be, love yourself. Whatever is your
profession or education love yourself. Whatever maybe your bank balance, appreciate
and love yourself. When you love yourself first, you will then find beauty
in others and love others. Physical appearance is temporary. Look for
inner beauty. If you don’t love yourself the way you are then loving
     others becomes fake and temporary.
 - Life is too short to
worry about things that you have no control of.
 - Not all what you see
with your eyes is what you think in your mind. Sometimes you need to seek
both sides of the story to understand, rather than judge.
 - Do not have love for
money.  Have love for what you can
do with the money. Make wise decisions how you use your money. Make a
difference in someone’s life even if it has to be your own.
 - However farther you
move away from the values you were brought up with, you will never forget it.  Life
and situation will bring you back to those values and it will become more
     real as never before.
 - Sometimes we say harsh
words to just let it out of our chest and then forget about it but
remember the one who is at the listening end will never forget how you
made them feel. So best to personalize good words but to generalize the
     not so good words.
 - When things go wrong
with life, relationships, health, finance, continue working on them and
you will see the light. Do not lose hope. Just like how a creative person
turns a hopeless craft to a masterpiece. Just like how God uses the
ordinary to bring about the extraordinary.
 - Good thinking is hard
work, it will do wonders in your life. Invest time in good thinking.
 - People are people, some
will be one track minded and some will be multiple track minded. As long
as you understand them it will not bother you,
 - When you are in need,
there will be some who support you physically, and mentally and some who
don’t. Love the ones who support you and respect the ones who don’t. They
might be in a situation that you are not aware of, or do not understand.
 - The impossible is
always the untried. Take risks in life and achieve the impossible.
 - When I do things that
make me happy, I know my brain is releasing endorphins that is happy
chemicals. I make sure I am happy every day.
 - Limit yourself to
physical hunger only, not to emotional hunger and sensory hunger. This
will prevent you from overweight, obesity and depression.
 - Don’t allow anyone or
anything to take away your peace of mind. It’s not worth it.
 - You cannot suck and
blow at the same time. It either has to be yes or no, agree, or disagree,
love or hate, right or wrong.
 - Books are the best
mentors that tell you things that most mentors don’t. Choose wisely what
     you read.
 - Walking your dog, gives
you many health benefits. Counting your steps, breathing fresh air, good
blood circulation, helps in mental health, make new friends, be mindful,
good thinking, generate great ideas and many more.
 - If you don’t spend time
with your children when they are young, they will end up not spending time
with you when you are old.
 - Expectations in life
gives you disappointments, expectations in life also drives you to work on
     your goals and challenges.
 - There are many lessons
that you can learn from your pet dog, for example, love unconditionally.
 - What you can do in 30
seconds do it now, or else you’ll never end up doing it.
 - Do not wait until you
have a feeling to act upon a situation. Take action and the feeling will
automatically arouse in you. for example, do not wait to feel like
cleaning your room. Clean your room and you will get into the groove of
continuing to clean and feel accomplished and happy.
 - The devil will always
obstruct you to go on your knees, pray and read the Bible. Remember, he
has no power over you unless you give it to him.
 - Sometimes relationships
are spoiled when you speak the truth, and sometimes relationships are
spoiled when you lie. Speak the truth in such a way that you do not hurt
the other person directly, because people remember more how you make them
feel rather than what words came out of your mouth. When you tell a lie,
you will have to remember all your life, and always remember no lie is
bound within the 4 walls forever. Every lie will be out someday,
     somehow.
 - Do not overdo anything
because when you do anything in excess, you are either hurting yourself or
others. For example, exercise, eating, drinking, reading, talking,
     spending time or money etc.
 - You need not boast what
you do. Your actions will speak louder than words. The results of your
     work will shout out loud.
 - When you are committed
to doing something, nothing will come in between. No obstacles can prevent
you from your commitment. Make sure your commitment is strong.
 - Words once spoken
cannot be taken back. Choose your words wisely.
 - To live in your past
successes is the beginning of failure.

33.
Prioritise your peace. Anything that costs you
your peace is too expensive.
34.
Progress is not linear. It is not a straight
line. There will be highs and lows but that doesn't mean that there isn't any
progress.
35.
Sit with your feelings especially with your
grief. It is important to sit with it and deal with it.
36.
Find people who bring out the inner child in
you.
37.
You are responsible for your own happiness.
38.
Spend some time all by yourself more often and
get to know yourself. You can't expect others to enjoy your company if you
don't enjoy your own company.
39.
Choose those who choose you. Don't be a go to
person to a person you can't go to.
- Giving Gratitude to God

 - All human beings are loving,
compassionate, peaceful irrespective of which country or religion they
     belong.
 - We cannot change the
world .... only person you can attempt to change is
yourself.  If everyone does that, world will be much better

give the best and greatest ingredients every day!
 - The world wants your
attention and time. Let us be conscious of that and find ways and means to
     stay in the present !
 - Someone has rightly
said .... life is a journey from loneliness to solitude. In this journey
let us become our own best friend .
 - Comparison is the
source of all troubles... let us live a life of gratitude for all the
things which has been provided to us.
 - God wants us to make
most of this life .... wants us to become a hero and achieve extraordinary
things.... that means let us avoid hero worshiping others and work towards
     become our own hero!
 - The only Fact of Life
for me is my body is Mortal .  When I constantly remember
     this:

my thoughts, words and actions are limited. With limitations
on only required thoughts, words, and actions, I get wiser. Wisdom makes
my time limitation, direct me towards good and positively for myself and the
universe around me. Making lesser mistakes. This makes me balanced emotionally
too. Absorbing  from our 5 senses along with past
experiences we create a future. Here in the present, we need to use
wisdom to eliminate and let go not required thoughts and emotions, so we enjoy
the present time and make whatever future we have a better space to live.
- As I grow older and wiser, I like to tell you about a few facts of life I’ve learned on my journey through my experiences. Material possessions: Society and the physical world give too much preference to our outside appearance hence we spend years trying to collect many material goods – a grand house, a great car, a big title, branded outfits, for an outward show. It never stops because we always want more. We spend years toiling to collect these, but we never stop to think of the stress we go through trying so hard to please our ego. In actuality, we do not need all that much, having the basic necessities and being thankful for what we have takes the stress away leaving us with less disease and more time to enjoy what we have.

Likes and Dislikes: When we like something,
we are happy.  Be it a chore or a job.  When we dislike something, we
are filled with total unease.  If we step back and observe any activity
with neither like or dislike, we become neutral and, in that neutrality, we can
accomplish anything with ease.  It makes it even easier when we add the
purpose of why we are doing the activity…  keeping a clean house, having
clean dishes to eat in, putting food on the table, staying healthy.
Letting go of Disturbances: Being human we experience many
emotions.  Emotions that are positive, make us feel light.  Emotions
that are negative, bring a heaviness to our body (I call them
disturbances).  Every emotion gets stored in different parts of our body.
In order to be healthy we need to retain the positive emotions and expunge the
disturbances.  However, we have become experts at learning how to hold on
tight to all our emotions – especially the heavier ones.  Instead of
purging them, we hide them well and cleverly cover it up with, “Time
Heals”.   Unfortunately, the heavier emotions are similar to chronic
constipation, causing an unease, resulting in disease.  Self reflection of
these emotions and learning ways to let go is key to being happy.  The
best way in my experience to do this is through meditation.
Giving up Control: We go through life wanting
absolute control over everything and have a Plan A and Plan B. We fall apart
every time things go wrong.  To stay on the right end of the stick, we
have to trust in a power that is bigger than us.  I strongly believe that
we live in an intelligent Universe and we are all connected.  Everything
happens for a reason to bring us to where we need to be.  If we don’t
learn to ride the waves, we are constantly fighting with the current. Trusting
the Universe by seeing each challenge as an opportunity directs us closer to
where we need to be.
Competition: We learned at a young age
about competition and always emerging the winner. As a race, our
competitiveness has given rise to emerging the winner at any cost.  We
lose sight of our values when winning becomes the ultimate. We start to
compare our kids to others to coax them into competition. We go out of our
way to boast and command respect.  Void of any self reflection, we can
become part of this race very easily and often, it ends in disastrous
outcomes.  I’ve learned through experience working towards being better
than I was yesterday keeps my values intact and never leads me to a path where
I think too little of myself and give up.
Occupation: In the culture I grew up, the
pressure of earning a degree (with honours) was immense.  I came to
believe myself, that the highest education was the way to go.  I have made
it around the world with extremely successful titles. I do not believe this is
because of my education but because of my curiosity to learn and adaptability
of every situation I was in.  I have recently left the corporate world and
come to work in the trades industry.  The myths and stigma associated with
the trade world is complete BS.  Unfortunately, I was never open to
understanding the trade world.  There are so many options that exist and
so much potential.  Our closed opinions about a career in the trade world
may be detrimental to our progress.
77.   “Life is not Measured by the Number
of Breaths I take, but the Moments that Take My Breath Away”.
There is no truer statement,
sadly it takes losing a loved one to realize how true this is.
In 2009 I lost my beloved husband to
cancer, fairly quickly, and the one thing that got me through were the memories
we shared with one another.  The fun
time, the laughter, the love.  We would
sit up late and talk and laugh, sharing our life together. Our family would
come and do the same. Now, to many this may seem hard to do, but I learned that
this was the best medicine for us all.
Memories… we build them over the years, and they
are meant to be shared.
By sharing them, speaking of
the people who have touched you, what you have done together, that keeps them
alive.
No one can take your memories
from you, THEY ARE YOURS!
Those memories become moments
in our lives, we cherish them.
It is not how long we live;
it is about how we live while we are here!
Those who I have lost, I have
amazing memories, and Moments That Take My Breath Away when I think of those
memories.
You see, with my memories and
those moments, I have not lost those people.
They are forever with me, in
my heart and in my memories.
In the actions I have, in the
words I use, in the way I carry myself.
Lesson: Hold those memories close… share those
memories… those who have passed will always be alive in spirit.
Have a blessed tomorrow and
remember to make Memories every day!
You will find your life
will be enriched.
